Electric Car Factory In the Country

Bangladesh Auto Industries Limited is going to establish an Electric Car Factory in our country. The process of the establishment of this factory already has begun on the Sheik Mujib Industrial Area. They are looking forward to present Electric Cars on the market in the name of Bangladeshi brand.

On this Bangladeshi factory, the partner of Bangladesh Auto Industries is China Company “Dong feng Motor Group Limited”. This company is one of the leading Car Companies of China. They also have the partnership on the factories with well known brands like Japanese Honda, Nissan, Sitaren of France many more others of Europe.
Dongfeng Motor Group Limited is ranked 695th among the top 2,000 companies in the world according to the 2020 list of the American magazine Forbes. Dongfeng, which was established in 2001, sells goods worth 1.48 billion a year, which is 1.24 trillion in Bangladeshi currency.

Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in Bangladesh Auto Industries have businesses in various sectors including information technology, electricity and finance. Its chairman is “A Mannan Khan”, who is a director of the private Madhumati Bank. When asked, he said, "We will produce through this company, not going to set cars." The value addition will be around 70 percent. He said, “In the near future, there will be a big market for electric vehicles”. So we are planning from now and have this investment in mind.”

Bangladesh Auto Industries has taken a total of 100 acres land. The investment target is 100 crore Bangladeshi Taka. On this land, they have formed two separate companies for making car parts and batteries and to setting up separate factories. One is Bangladesh Lithium Battery Limited, whose partner is Jiangsu Ruihong Lithium Company Limited of Hong Kong. The other is called Motor Technology Limited, whose partner is Wuhan Sian Power Technology Company of China.

According to Bangladesh Auto Industries, the physical work of their factory is about 80 percent complete. Most of the equipment has arrived at Chittagong port. Recruitment of Chinese, European and Korean workers is already done. They have set a target of producing 35,000 private cars, 50,000 three-wheelers and 100,000 electric motorcycles a year.
